The Organising Committee has chosen the Hampshire Inn Mooi Veluwe as the symposium venue ("Mooi Veluwe" means "beautiful Veluwe"; the "Veluwe" is a large nature area in the central part of The Netherlands) .

Hampshire Inn Mooi Veluwe at Putten is a hotel with comfortable European 3-star accommodation, offering a cosy atmosphere with its inviting, recently refurbished interior and spacious “café royal” and out-door terrace. It is surrounded by a forest (with freely accessible estate-owned botanical gardens, including arboretum and pinetum, not far away); trails can be followed for a walk and bicycles can be rented when the weather is fine and there are no urgent molinological matters to attend to. The nice little tourist village of Garderen with a variety of shops is 4km away; a public bus can take you there.

The en-suite rooms have one or two single beds  and have either a view of the forest or of the gardens. They are all equipped with colour TV and the usual 3-star amenities (with shower, but without bath). All rooms (which are in two separate buildings) and the other hotel facilities are at ground floor level and easily accessible for disabled persons. Non-smoking rooms are available. There are 16 single-bedrooms (with a supplement to the regular cost), but the larger twin-bedded rooms are also available for single occupation (supplement). Free wireless internet access is available throughout the hotel.

We shall be staying here during the symposium, 8 nights in all. No moving around, for we shall always return to this hotel after an excursion. Breakfast and lunch will be served as a self-service buffet, dinner will either be served at your table or as a buffet. On excursion days there will be more modest arrangements for lunch, dinner still being the main meal of the day.

Camping or other accommodation options

Near the hotel are several campsites where those wishing to use their own tent, campervan or caravan can stay at a modest price. The Organising Committee will provide information but will NOT act as an intermediary for reservation or payment and will offer NO shuttle service to and from the hotel. If you stay at a campsite you may join the others for breakfast at the hotel (at an additional cost) or arrange your own. It is, however, expected that campers will participate in all other meals as well as in all programme activities.

Note: The same rules apply if you have other accommodation arrangements than hotel or campsite.

Here are two suggestions for campsites, without any guarantee of quality etc:

1. Mini campsite "De Peerdse Barg", Oud-Milligenseweg 39, 3886 MC Garderen (about 5km from symposium venue, 600m from Garderen village, and close to the village windmill). Quiet and small campsite with toilet facilities, laundrette and electricity, but no luxury. Sunny and shady pitches. 2006 prices: caravan/tent: EUR 3,90 per night, campervan EUR 4,50 per night, plus EUR 4,80 per person (incl. tourist taxes etc.).

2. Campsite “De Hertshoorn”, Putterweg 68-70, 3886 PG Garderen (about 2.5km from symposium venue and 1km from Garderen village). 5 star Eurotop campsite (awards include “ADAC Superplatz”), stylish layout, suitable for families and older people, relatively quiet (no cars, no dogs), lots of facilities including swimming pool, supermarket, cafeteria, restaurant. 2006 prices: caravan/tent incl. 2 persons per night : EUR 25,- (excl. tourist tax at EUR 0,85 per person per night).
