The Mills of Bélidor (Architecture Hydraulique, Part 1, Book 2) translated by Owen Ward and George Watkins Volume 17 (2003)
Originally published in 1737, this is one of the key studies on the development of traditional watermill technology. It consists of a great many technical plates conscientiously reproduced from the original, and explaining texts. Besides grinding mills, it also deals with saw mills, gunpowder mills and water raising devices. This book gives an excellent overview of the 18th century technical know-how of water powered machines. A4 size in upright folder, 82 pages, in black and white.
